美孚维萝斯系列是由一种高质低粘度油所组成。它们皆采用优质基础油及依据不同用途配以独特的添加剂而制造。颜色较浅而油膜持久力强。美孚维萝斯系列推荐用于机床锭子及压力系统。可用一般的施油方法使用，包括自动给油系统或空气雾化设备。
用 途
美孚维萝斯3，4，6，8，10号本组别是低粘度高质油，适合机床高转速锭子润滑。它们皆含抗氧化剂，而其中较高粘度的美孚维萝斯4，6，8，10号油则含有防锈特性，适合要求粘度低润滑油的精密压力系统。美孚维萝斯3号特别适用於极小公差的锭子轴承一可少於直径每寸0.0001寸的精密公差。对於公差较大的转子套筒轴承，则可选用4，6，8或10号锭子油。正确的粘度要视乎公差与转子速度的关系，如高速及公差少，应选用美孚锭子油4号, 如转子速度低及公差较大，则美孚锭子油10号较为适合. 美孚维萝斯3，4，6，8，10号亦适用於压力系统。具有优良之化学稳定性能，抗氧化和消泡能力高，不易导致有害物质形成。而且，粘度指数高及容易与水份分离。

The Mobil Velocite oils are a family of high quality low viscosity lubricants. They are formulated from high grade stock oils and each one is specially fortified with additives to make it unsurpassed in its particular field of service.They are all light coloured oils and have excellent film strength characteristics. They are recommended mainly for machine tool spindle lubrication and hydraulic systems and applied by all the usual methods, including automatic oiling systems and air mist techniques.
Application
Mobil Velocite Oil No. 3, 4, 6, 8, 10The group of high quality low viscosity oils is recommended for the lubrication of high speed machine tool spindles. All contain oxidation inhibiting materials.The four heavier oils Mobil Velocite Oil Nos. 4, 6, 8 and 10 also contain a rust inhibitor making them suitable for intricate and critical hydraulic systems requiring a light oil.Mobil Velocite Oil No.3 is recommended for the “ zero clearance ” type of spindle bearing which operates with extremely close clearances -which may be no more than 0.0001 per inch of arbor diameter. The majority of sleeve type spindle bearings have greater clearances and for these Mobil Velocite Oil Nos. 4, 6, 8 &10 are being used satisfactorily. Choice of viscosity depends upon the relationship between clearance and spindle speed. High speed and close clearance require Mobil Velocite Oil No. 4 - slower speed and wider clearance require Mobil Velocite Oil No. 10. Mobil Velocite Oil No. 3, 4, 6, 8 and 10 are also recommended for use in hydraulic systems. All have excellent chemical stability, resistance to oxidation and the formation of deleterious products and contain a defoamant.They have a high viscosity index and separate readily from water.
